Apple Cider Vinegar Warts Remedy
Why it Works so Well & How to Use it
Warts can affect just about anybody and they can appear just about anywhere. They are mostly harmless though. Some people think that’s a good thing, and it most definitely is in terms of medical reasoning. However their appearances can cause us a lot of mental turmoil. .They’re down right embarrassing when you have warts growing in a location that can’t be hidden underneath clothing. Fortunately, there are many ways to get rid of them and one of the best home remedy happens to be the apple cider vinegar warts remedy. Read on to find out why.
The reason why acv (apple cide vinegar) works so well is because of its high acidic contents (namely acetic acid). The acid is able to attack the skin growth that has grown out of control due to the hpv virus infecting your skin. While some people believe the acid is able to kill the virus, that’s not the reason why acv works. Acv works mainly because of its ability to break down the skin tissue and peel if off from the rest of your skin.
While is all sound like quite an aggressive method to remove the wart, it’s actually not as bad as it sounds. I’m not saying there’s no chance of scarring, or that there will be no pain felt. Many people have just reported no scarring, or if there are any blemishes left behind as a result of the remedy, it’s barely noticeable. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take precautions and ignore the potential risks though. You shouldn’t attempt to use the apple cider vinegar warts remedy for warts located in sensitive locations like your face, and especially the genital area. For warts located in those sensitive areas, you should always consult with a medical professional first before even considering anything else.
To use this remedy, you’ll need:
- Apple cider vinegar (unfiltered)
- Band-aids
- Emery boards
How to use the apple cider vinegar warts remedy
The first thing you will want to do is use a clean emery board to file down the wart. The best time to file down a wart with an emery board is right after a warm/hot shower. This is the best time because the wart tissues will be soft from the long exposure to warm water. Alternatively, you can also run the wart under warm water for a good five minutes. Or you can soak a clean towel in hot water and then place the towel over the wart until the towel starts to cool down. For this step, you must take caution not to file too hard and not to file so much that it causes any bleeding. Also be careful not to file the healthy skin surrounding the wart. You don’t want to cut any skin. The only purpose of this filing step is to remove much of the excess skin growth of the wart.
Once you have carefully filed down the wart, you can add a drop or two of apple cider vinegar on the pad of a clean bandaid. Place the bandaid over the wart. Make sure the soaked cotton pad is covering the wart. Wear the bandaid for at least for a few hours until it dries out. When it dries out, change it out to another acv treated bandaid.
Having to consistently change out a band-aid may not be possible during the day when everything’s busy and hectic. Alternatively, you can do this at night when you get home from work. Or you can do it right before you head to bed. To keep the apple cider vinegar from drying out, you can add an extra drop of vinegar. You will also need to seal the treated area, along with the band-aid, with some duct tape. Just remove everything in the morning and gently wash the area with warm water and soap. Cover the wart with a clean, untreated band-aid.
The apple cider vinegar warts remedy isn’t a one-time deal. The wart won’t disappear in just one application. It’s going to take at least a week of consistent application to see results. For some, their warts will be gone within the first week. For others, it may take slightly longer. Results always vary from user to user, but one thing’s for sure; it removes warts.
